The sun in Virgo brings refinements
to enhance our lives
We enter the month with Mercury, the planet symbolizing communication, in Virgo and traveling retrograde (apparent backward motion). Whatever we have been working on recently goes through a review period now, during which we access what is viable, and what needs improvements. We also take this time to carry through with completing any unfinished business in our lives. While Mercury is retrograde in Virgo, there is more emphasis on our analytical functions, our power of assessment is heightened, and we can see clearly what may be worth streamlining and improving. If you have the sun, moon or rising sign in Virgo, this will come more naturally, but for the rest of us, it will require heightened awareness.
Streamline now, to enhance future growth
Make corrections and improvements now, and you will have a much easier time implementing upcoming changes. With Mercury empowered by a very favorable aspect from transformational Pluto in Capricorn, any streamlining we do now will bring positive change. Clean out your desk, your closets, and your garage; back up your computers, and complete any unfinished communication. Review and update your business plans or update your resume. Revisit your health and wellness program to see what improvements are needed there. Mercury resumes direct motion on September 12, but stays in Virgo for the remainder of the month, continuing to lend its streamlining and improving abilities for any of our endeavors.
Jupiter and Uranus inspire us to revisit our dreams
Two big planetary shifts occur now. After having been in Aries for a time this summer, Jupiter and Uranus have turned retrograde, reentering Pisces for several months. By the second week of September, much of the intense pressure we have been experiencing this summer will subside. On September 18, expansive Jupiter and revolutionary Uranus form an exact conjunction, heightening our awareness of the power of our beliefs and ideas to shape our destiny. With both planets retrograde, we get an opportunity to take a deep breath or two, and revisit our most recent vision and intentions. We may have charged forward in our lives and begun implementing changes or new ideas, but now we must go back to the original inspiration we had for these changes, and make sure our vision is in alignment with our principles; that it is indeed what we know in our hearts to be true for ourselves.
New moon inspires improvements;
Mercury forges ahead to action
A new moon in Virgo on September 8 gives us the nudge to make necessary improvements that insure we will make better use of our time and resources. Communication with people in positions of power will have beneficial outcomes. If you have been promised a raise or a promotion, this would be a great time to ask for it, or if you have been considering changes or improvements in your business, this would be a good time to get clear on how you will make them. Mercury resumes direct motion on September 12, after which it will seem more natural to move forward, take action and implement those new plans.
Creativity brings positive energy flow
Early September’s planetary aspects throw the doors wide open on creativity. Allow artistic or musical inspiration to flow thorough you, and be willing to express yourself. In mid-September, energy for artistic creativity gives way to more practical concerns. Use your heightened creativity mid-month and through the third week of September to make significant changes and improvements that empower your presence in the world, increasing energy and monetary flow as well as your own personal satisfaction.
Sun in Libra stimulates transformational energies
The sun exits Virgo, entering the sign of balance, Libra, on September 22, and opening the gateway to the Autumnal Equinox, a potent time for future visioning. On September 23, we have the Harvest Moon, which, this year, is a powerful and combustible full moon in Aries, opposite the sun in Libra. Immediately, the sun and moon enter catalytic encounters with Saturn and transformational Pluto that have the power to alter the course of our lives in dramatic ways; perhaps facilitating the experiences for which our souls have been longing for eons. Do not despair as you witness old structures in our society weakening, even crumbling; they must go to give way to a new Age.
Celebrate the changes that awaken humanity
Intense planetary aspects during the last week of September are mitigated somewhat by equally potent and positive energies with Venus, Mars and Pluto that serve to facilitate our growing ability to flow with change and to use our inner spiritual inspiration to recreate our lives. If Spirit were to whisper something in your ear for these times, it would go something like: “Divine child, let go, allow love to shape your life.” We are truly in a “pregnant” time for humanity, and we are on the verge of birthing the reality of our Spirit Being as expressed through an awakened humanity!
Each month there are days that are better for starting new endeavors, forming new partnerships, or signing leases and making important contractual agreements, including buying property, starting a new business or getting married.
Because of the Mercury retrograde factor, there are not many of those days in September. If you must start something entirely new in September, the best days would be September 16, and 18-19. There are a few reasonably good days for advancing ongoing projects: September 3, 5-6, and 9-10. You may expect positive final results despite operational challenges on: September 17, 23-24, and 26-27. All other days in September are best spent focused on existing projects, or on reevaluating and completing old business.
