Finding Your Soul’s Purpose
Are you in touch with your soul’s purpose? Although you may long for such profound inner contact, your quest may be complicated by the fact that the call of the soul may change over the course of life. As a householder, caring for children and mate may be primary. As an empty nester, creativity and service often become paramount. Sometimes when you’re ‘between calls’, temporarily laying fallow most answers the summons of spirit. Finding your way in this changing terrain can be a challenge.
Here’s the tip. First, sit quietly and ask yourself what you need. Your unique human needs are your soul’s GPS as well as a means to get your attention. Scout for obstacles. Barriers may be as simple as old beliefs that no longer serve or as complex as physical, financial, and/or educational limitations. Don’t be surprised if sad, mad, scared or numb feelings arise. Fear, in particular, often leads to dropped calls between you and your essence. Allow emotions to move briefly through your body (or numbness to dissipate) so you can restore your resources. Seek counseling if necessary. It takes strength to face true needs and realities.
Next, set your intention for soul connection. Know that focusing on purpose is powerful medicine in and of itself. Watch for dreams and synchronicities. Drop awareness into your heart. Feel the unhurried, tender patience residing there for you. Ask for guidance and have faith. Your answers will come. ©
