Joe Rathburn’s Famous Folkey Monkey Concert Series, which has been a mainstay of the San Diego Music Scene, now makes its home at Vision’s acoustically perfect sanctuary. Joe invites the best acoustic guitarists and singer/songwriters from the United States to join him for an evening of performing the songs that they love and sharing personal experiences and insights in the music business.

This November, Joe shares the stage with Gregory Page and Jeffrey Joe Morin on November 3 and John Foltz on November 17. Visit Google to discover more about these talented performers. On November 9, Vision will host a concert by Rachel Drexler which will showcase San Diego’s up and coming New Voices. Rachel is well known throughout California and is a respected singer who performs at many of San Diego’s top venues. She is bringing together some of the singers that may well be the Super Stars of the future. The concert begins at 7pm and tickets are only $15. Stories for the Inner Ear Booksigning on 11/6

“A Compassionate Communication Experience - Fostering Connection and Building Community Workshop” will present effective methods for increasing connection and improving relationships with family, coworkers and friends. With a lot of opportunities to practice, attendees will learn how to increase empathic understanding of others and themselves. They will learn ways to express themselves honestly, yet without criticism or blame. These tools can greatly help us to resolve conflicts and to have more satisfaction and harmony in all relationships.

Certified NVC trainer, Mary MacKenzie, cofounder of the NVC Academy, and several Compassionate Communication presenters will offer a range of topics based on the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) by Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D., which is, used world wide with all ages.
